We have designed this process to provide a framework for making an educated and informed decision about working together. Just as important, you will finish this process knowing exactly where you stand in the five areas that we believe are key for retirement success.
For people who are potentially a good fit for our firm, there is no cost or obligation for this process as we want you to know exactly how we can help you before you pay us a single dollar in fees or trust us with a penny of your nest egg.
Step 1 - Scheduling a Meeting
Seeing if your needs and our expertise are a fit
Before committing your time or ours, communicating with our front office coordinator will give us both a chance to make sure your situation matches our expertise. After all, you wouldn’t see a podiatrist if you needed heart surgery.
If we aren’t a good fit for each other, we will gladly try to recommend resources that might be of help to you.
Step 2: First Meeting
Prescription without evaluation and diagnosis is malpractice
The goal of this meeting is to get perfectly clear on your goals, concerns and unique financial situation.
Your answers to our questions, along with the documents we requested you bring, will guide our analysis, which will result in plain English answers to the five key areas of retirement planning.
Step 3 - Our Analysis
This is where the magic happens
We will apply decades of experience, thousands of hours of training and mentoring by the industry’s top experts to answer the following questions:
- Can you afford to retire?
- Are there ways you could lower your taxes now or in the future?
- Can your portfolio be improved?
- Are you prepared in case you or your spouse (if applicable) need extensive health care, are unable to make decisions for yourself, or pass away?
- Can you eliminate, or at least reduce threats to your retirement?
Step 4 - Second Meeting
This is where the proverbial rubber hits the road
During this meeting we will explain, in plain English, exactly what you need to do to achieve your financial goals, including the answers to the five key areas we asked during our analysis.
This is where you will see, in dollars and cents, how our firm can improve your finances.
At the end of this meeting, we will ask if you would like to begin working with our firm or if you would like to sleep on it.
Step 5 - Sleep On It
A zero-pressure environment
Having been in business for more than 23 years, we are in no rush for you to make a decision. Prior to deciding whether we should work together, you will want to answer the following questions:
- Do I like/trust/respect the team at Preservation Specialists, LLC?
- Will the benefits they provide exceed their cost?
- Do I understand and agree with their investment philosophy?
- Do their recommendations make sense to me?
- Am I ready to hire a trusted advisory Team?
Step 6 - Third Meeting/Onboarding
Initiating YOUR Custom-Built Plan
During this meeting we will answer any questions you have and if you are ready, start the paperwork to become a client.
Typically, in this meeting no final planning decisions are being made, but rather we are agreeing on priorities and next steps to be worked on.
We would love to work with you, however, if you decide that it’s not a good fit, we will wish you all the best and every success. In other words, there is never a hard-sell or pressure to say yes.
